Ed Place

Ed Place is an education company dedicated to empowering parents in their children’s learning.

They offer interactive, online worksheets that cover English, Maths and Science across Key Stages 1 – 4.

All of Ed Place worksheets are created by qualified teachers and are based entirely on the National Curriculum. The worksheets are completed online and marked automatically. Parents are able to view their child’s scores and monitor their progress over time and against the National Average.
Ed Place offers a subscription service where customers sign up, first of all, for a two week trial of the site. After that, the account rolls on to either a monthly or annual subscription.

  1. Ed Place is one of the worse educational resources that I’ve ever seen or worked with. I’m a KS1-KS2 English teacher and it’s incredible the amount of mistakes that the worksheets have.

Besides I cannot see any evidence that the content is aligned to the new curriculum, I recently asked one of their customer service person but didn’t get neither a convincing nor a knowledgeable reply.

As one of the responses above says, it’s true that they’ll take the next month’s money from your account once they have your credit card details.

  3. I am a teacher of many years and a home tutor. There are many, many better computer resources than this one. Take a look at Ed Lounge or Sam Learning to name just a couple. BBC Bite Size is free and so much better than this pitiful programme. Also BEWARE that once they have your credit card details because you paid the £1.00 to view the programme, they will take the next month’s money from your account. I phoned and cancelled but they deny the call happened and 2 weeks after signing up they took £84.00 from my account. I think this is how they make their money because their resource just isn’t good enough for anyone who knows anything about education to actually buy into it. For example, you can print off work sheets and they don’t provide the answers ~ what good is that to a non-specialist subject teacher or parent. Marks out of 10 I give 0.
I’m guessing the above reviews are from family or friends because this isn’t even worth the first £1.

  4. My edplace review:

Ed place is probably the best value for money educational resource. I don’t know what the SATS result for my twins would be without help I got from ed place.

Highly, highly, highly recommended. I think this site is even more valuable for all British expats with children.
